A love letter to all beauty and fashion junkie:
My name is Shirleen, I am many things.
I am a fashion school graduate, I am a
freelance makeup artist, I am a youtube beauty guru, and most
importantly, I am an avid beauty and fashion lover.
As far as I remember, I have had a love
affair with fashion. It started when I was 8 years old. I started
sketching fashion figures and clothing. I have a pile of paper full of
fashion sketches (of course it wasn’t great since I was just 8). But my
love for fashion has not and will not die.
My beauty and makeup obsession started
when I was in junior high. I remember sneaking around wearing bronzer
and mascara to school. I know, I know, most people would be like, “That
is nothing! I used to wear glitters and look like a disco ball to
school” but I went to a very strict Catholic school and what is on your
face should be nothing more than moisturizer. So yeah, it was a huge
hinder to my creativity.
I feel into the deep end during my college
year. It wasn’t a surprise since when I was just 4 years old, I never
passed a mirror I didn’t like. So during my college years, I started
experimenting with makeup and hair, and since I went to an art school,
everything is fair game.
I loved every minute.
One day I stumbled upon a makeup tutorial by xteeneer, and just like that, my obsession begins.
I started my youtube channel in 2008 and
started to upload regularly in 2013. My knowledge comes from watching
other gurus, and reading beauty books and facts like a mad woman.
I said ‘brief’ didn’t I? I guess I lied.
But oh well. I just want to welcome you to my blog and please hop on and
